Dubai has a rich collection of buildings and structures of various architectural styles. Many modern interpretations of Islamic architecture can be found here, due to a boom in construction and architectural innovation in the Arab World in general, and in Dubai in particular. As a result of this boom, modern Islamic – and world – architecture has literally been taken to new levels in skyscraper building design and technology.
Dubai has been called the "shopping capital of the Middle East". Dubai alone has more than 70 shopping centres, including the world's second largest shopping centre, Dubai Mall. Dubai is also known for the historical souk districts located on either side of its creek. Traditionally, dhows from East Asia, China, Sri Lanka, and India would discharge their cargo and the goods would be bargained over in the souks adjacent to the docks.

Burj Kalifa
The tallest building in the world! There is an outdoor obsertvation deck on the 124th floor. From there you can see the Dubai Fountain which, at night, will display a stunning light and water show.

Why I recommend
This building is stunning. There is a light show on the side of the building along with the Dubai Fountain water show. I recommend at night to see the city all light up. Outdoor observation deck is like walking in the clouds.
Sand Dunes
Sand in Dubai is unlike any other. It feels like playing in powdered sugar; it is just amazingly soft. There is a lot more sand than there is city so it is worth checking out.

Why I recommend
We booked with OceanAir Travels and highly recommend using them for your dunes excursion. Our host was awesome! We went 4-wheeling in the dunes and sandboarding. Then headed to a camp and rode camels. Then we had a bbq and a show. They also had hooka and henna all included.

A giant shopping square with markets of all countries and cultures. Shows and food will keep you entertained all night.
